What Causes Cellulite?
Dr Oz says cellulite isn’t a fat problem, it’s a skin problem. Ninety percent of women have cellulite, so you’re not alone. No matter how hard you work to remove it, it seems like it’s always there. Skin changes make cellulite irritating to some. Dr Oz spoke to one audience member who stated that she noticed dimples on the back of her thigh around age 49. (49?! She’s actually lucky she noticed it that late!) With each passing year, it became increasingly worse. She tried diet and exercise but nothing seemed to help. Another audience member agreed, stating her cellulite was a big irritant.
Dr Oz asked 3 audience members to show their cellulite, to which they BRAVELY did. (Sorry, not happening over here, folks!)
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is made up of fat pockets under the skin. The fibers that are above the fat are flexible when we’re younger, but as we age, the fiber bands become more rigid. This is when you see bulges of fat (cellulite) directly under the skin. Hormones and stress damage the skin so there is less of a coating over the skin. This causes the visible appearance of cellulite.
Dr Oz Cellulite Cream with Caffeine
One audience member told Dr Oz that she exercised and drank a lot of water to reduce the appearance of her cellulite, but it didn’t work. In order to drastically reduce the appearance of cellulite, Dr Oz suggested topical caffeinated cellulite cream. Rub it on daily.
Dr Oz Underwear to Minimize Cellulite
Did you know the type of underwear you wear may cause cellulite? (I didn’t either!) Dr Oz says the elastic waistband in some underwear causes dimpling. In order to reduce the dimpled appearance, try wearing undies without the elastic waistband.
Dr Oz Cellulite Seaweed Mask
To help reduce the appearance of seaweed, Dr Oz says to try a cellulite seaweed mask. Combine seaweed, clay, lime juice, and honey. The lime juice contains acid, which works as an exfoliant and the honey helps moisturize the skin.
Mix the ingredients together and apply to the dimpled area, like you would a facial mask. Wrap up the area with plastic wrap and let sit for 20 minutes. This mask helps the skin to tighten and moisturize…and it smells good too!

You do not give quantity of items used for seaweed mask, or what the clay powder is called.
