Dr Oz: Ayurvedic Fat Fighters

Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary says there is no arguing the fact it is harder to lose weight as you get older, which is why Ayurvedic medicine looks to ignite the digestive fire as a way to get rid of weight in the worst places like your hips, belly and thighs. She sat down with Dr. Oz to share the new Ayurvedic fat fighters to help you lose your most stubborn body fat once and for all!

Dr Oz Ayurvedic Fat Fighting Tea Recipe & Homemade Curry Powder Recipe

Dr Kulreet Chaudhary shared a recipe for Ayurvedic fat fighting tea that you can make right at home to flush out the toxins that are keeping your body fat!

Ayurvedic Medicine: Do Toxins Make You Fat?

Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary told Dr. Oz the key to losing weight as you get older lies in something called “Ama,” which refers to toxins. Dr. Chaudhary says there are two types of toxins, water-soluble and lipid-soluble. Water-soluble toxins are those you can get rid of by making dietary changes and exercising, but lipid-soluble toxins like to get stuck in your fat cells, making it harder to lose weight. Dr. Chaudhardy says if you are having trouble losing a few stubborn pounds it is most likely due to a toxin issue, not a lack of discipline.

Dr Oz: Ayurvedic Fat Fighter Tea

Dr. Oz and Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary shared Ayurvedic fat fighters that are all available right at your local grocery store!

Ayurvedic Tea:

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds

Add the spices to a pot filled with 4-5 cups of water and bring to a boil. Strain out the liquid and put in a thermos so the tea stays hot because the heat is what helps the tea to melt away your fat. Sip throughout the day!

Dr Oz: Homemade Curry Powder

Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary says most people do not realize that curry powder can help you lose weight. She recommends making your own at home and adding it to every meal so you can start melting away your unwanted fat.

Homemade Curry Powder:

  • 5 teaspoons coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black mustard seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder

Combine all ingredients except the turmeric powder in a small coffee grinder and blend into a powder to make your own curry powder.
