Dr Oz: Detox Recipes To Lose Weight

Dr. Oz was talking with Dr. Alejandro Junger about his Clean Detox Program that will help you get healthy and lose 10 pounds this month! They talked about the foods you need to avoid while on the plan, along with the foods that are okay to eat. You might be surprised when you see just how much you can actually eat while cleansing your body on this detox program.

Dr Oz: Detox Breakfast Smoothie

By eliminating certain foods from your diet you will lower the workload of your digestive system because some foods are harder to digest than others. Dr. Alejandro Junger explained that this is why he provided a list of foods to avoid while on his detox program. He said as you eliminate those foods from your diet, your cravings will go away and you will not eat as much, but when you do you will make healthier choices. Dr. Junger said to begin your first day of his Detox plan with a breakfast smoothie. This smoothie will be easy for you to digest and it will leave you satisfied until lunch!

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1-2 cups spinach
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons plant-based protein powder

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.

Dr Oz: Detox Lunch Fish Taco

Here is what you need for 2 servings:

Tacos

  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 2 8 oz. halibut fillets
  • 4 large leaves dark green lettuce
  • ½ cup shredded red cabbage

Salsa

  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 1/3 cup bok choy
  • ¼ cup raspberries
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Salt and pepper

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Combine all of the salsa ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Cook the halibut in the coconut oil for about 3 minutes on each side. Remove the fillets from the skillet and carefully cut in large pieces.
  3. Take a lettuce leaf and top with the fish, some shredded cabbage, and a scoop of the salsa. Serve it with a lemon wedge and enjoy!

Dr Oz: Detox Snack

  • Fresh berries
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon plant-based protein powder

    Dr. Alejandro Junger shared his Detox Breakfast Shake recipe that will be easy for your body to digest while leaving you satisfied all the way until lunch!

Dr Oz: Detox Dinner Faux Shepherd’s Pie

Here is what you need:

  • 10 cups cauliflower florets, steamed
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small bok choy, chopped
  • 8 oz. poached chicken, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F degrees.
  2. Combine the cauliflower, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of the coconut oil in a blender and puree until smooth. Set this aside.
  3. Add 2 teaspoons of coconut oil to a medium skillet and sauté the broccoli for 2 minutes, until lightly browned and softened. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the bok choy for 2 minutes, adding more coconut oil if necessary, until it begins to brown. Add the bok choy to the bowl with the broccoli.
  5. To the bok choy and broccoli mixture add the diced chicken, 2 cups of the cauliflower puree, salt and pepper and gently toss. Pour it all into a 4 cup baking dish and top with the rest of the cauliflower puree.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly. To brown the top, you can broil the dish for a minute or two.

Dr Oz: Viewer Detox Results

Dr. Oz challenged a few of his viewers to try out Dr. Alejandro Junger’s Clean Food Detox Program and while they found it challenging in the beginning, they are all feeling good on the plan, especially since they are losing weight!
