Dr Oz: MUFAs Monounsaturated Fatty Acids
Dr Oz played a game called Which Melts Muffin Tops? Do you know what a Muffin Top is? It is the “spare tire” that many of us have around our waist, and it is the first place that women under 40 often gain weight. In fact, the term Muffin Top has become so popular, it is now even in the dictionary! This is the second time that Doctor Oz has touched on the topic of Muffin Tops, click here to read about the surgery he spoke about last time: Dr Oz: Muffin Top Liposuction.
Dr Oz: Muffin Top Fighting Foods
Doctor Oz’s first question was whether cherries or olives are better for melting Muffin Tops. The answer is that olives
have Monounsaturated Fatty Acids or MUFAs, which are healthy fats that target belly fat. You only need to eat 5-6 olives a day to help get rid of your Muffin Top!
Dr Oz’s second question was which melts your muffin top: pistachios or prunes? The answer again goes back to MUFAs, which is found in pistachios. Dr Oz is always stressing that nuts are great for us, as long as we don’t eat tons of them of course.
Dr Oz’s final questions was which melts your Muffin Top: Pesto Sauce or Tomato Sauce? The answer is that Pesto Sauce is the perfect Muffin Top Fighter because it has both olive oil and pine nuts, both of which contain MUFA’s and can help to reduce your appetite. Now the only problem is what to eat the Pesto Sauce on! If you put it over pasta, surely that cannot be good for fighting fat, but try it over some steamed vegetables and perhaps we are onto something!

Does anyone know whether it is green or black olives,or just any olives that help melt Muffin Top?
i think it’s either.. but I myself love black olives.. i don’t find them to be as bitter as the green.
