Dr Oz reveals some Ayurdevic Weight Loss Secrets with recipes for a 6 flavor slimming breakfast sundae and green mung bean soup
Ayurvedic Nutritionist, Sunita Mohan, says this diet is a way of life, it’s the way we live. The Ayurvedic Diet will work for everyone because the diet works on improving our digestion so our food moves properly. Once digestion is corrected, everything else falls into place. The Ayurvedic Diet is different from any other diet because it’s not focused on keeping track of calories or carbs. It simply focuses on how to get digestion moving.

Dr Oz: 6- Flavor Slimming Breakfast Sundae Recipe
Sunita says to add 6 Slimming Flavors to each meal in order to lose weight. Those flavors are bitter, sweet, sour, salty, pungent, astringent. The pungent and astringent flavors come with digestive aids. Spices and herbs are good examples of pungent and astringent flavors.
Ingredients:
¼ C of oats
¼ C flax seeds, freshly ground (pungent)
¼ C sesame seeds
20 almonds, crushed
2 Tbsp raisins (you can also use chopped dates or prunes)
1 ½ C yogurt (2% preferred) (sour)
1sliced banana (astringent)
1 C berries (Use fresh if in season. Frozen is okay, too. Use blackberries, blueberries, or raspberries) (sweet)
Optional Ingredients:
Mint (for garnish)
Pinch of ginger & salt (to taste)
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients together
Use 2 parfait glasses to layer 2 Tbsp of yogurt, dry ingredient mixture, bananas and then berries
Repeat layers until glass is filled to the top.
Optional: Garnish, with mint add then add a pinch of ginger & salt, to taste
Enjoy!
Be sure to have the flavors at one time. Doctor Oz tasted the parfait. Guess what? He loved it! He passed it around to some of the audience members in the front row, who stated it was delish! (This one actually looked yummy!)
Trying this yummy dessert at home? Leave me a message and let me know how it tastes! Good luck!
Dr Oz: Banyan Botanical Kitchari Spice Mix Review
For those lazy people (including me) looking for a simpler solution, try Banyan Botanical-Kitchari Spice Mix. Simply mix a teaspoon of the powder into your stir-fry or other foods. It contains all 6 flavors.
Sesame Oil Mouth Swish
To help with digestion, Sunita says to take 1 Tbsp of sesame oil and swish it in your mouth. Swish for only 3 minutes when just starting out. The goal is to get to 20 minutes. This swish mixes with your saliva and helps to remove toxins from your body. (Be sure to spit it out.)

Thank you so much for caring about all of us to help us I am going to try the mung bean soup, lemonade and sundae. Bless you and your staff…suzanne
You’ll want to use the ghee instead of sunflower oil! I made it first with this version and then realized after going over my ingredient list that it didn’t call for ghee. By adding the ghee it gives it a much richer, deeper flavor, and has a far more satisfying feeling and taste. You’ll be surprised how much the taste differs not to mention it masks the “aroma” of the hing
I have tried the soup, this is the third day, I like the taste, it really satisfies your hunger, but, I was disappointed in the digestion part, I released alot of toxins after the first day, but it is now the third and no toxin release, maybe its just me and my system …anyone else experience this ?
How long
Do you wait to do the diet again… I did it and lost 4 pounds and I want to do it again.
