Dr Oz: Duff Goldman’s Pear Parfait Recipe
In this segment, Dr Oz brought out The Food Network’s Rockin’ Chef, Duff Goldman, to show you how to make his delicious, low -fat, Sautéed Pear Parfait—in less than 5 minutes!
Dr Oz Pear Parfait Recipe:
Ingredients:
Cinnamon
Crushed ginger cookies
2 diced ripe pears
Butter
Brown sugar
Greek yogurt
Maple syrup
Duff had Dr Oz help sautée the pears and butter in a pan. Add a little bit of lemon juice, cinnamon and brown sugar. Duff added in raw sugar (turbinado), which is optional. In another bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt and maple syrup. Duff had Dr Oz flip the sautéed pears (and he wasn’t half bad either. He got a round of applause for his efforts.)
Place the Greek yogurt mixture (mousse) into a piping bag. Fill a glass about a third. (Dr Oz opted for the easy way and dumped in his mixture.) Place the crushed cookies on top of the yogurt mix. Then, add the pears and add more mousse. Garnish with a pear on top. Dr Oz passed the dessert around to audience members. It’s unanimous—the Sautéed Pear Parfait was a hit!
