Dr Oz: Acupuncture Facelift
Dr Oz introduced licensed acupuncturist, Janet Tsai. According to Janet, the all-natural acupuncture facelift balanced energy within the meridians of Chinese medicine. To demonstrate the procedure, Dr Oz showed before and after photographs of a patient who had used this procedure. (Didn’t really see much of a difference. Did you?)
Dr Oz brought up Cathy, an audience member, who volunteered to have an acupuncture facelift real time on stage. Cathy stated that she took care of herself with diet and exercise and now just wanted her outside to match her inside.
Janet inspected Cathy’s face, stating that Chinese medicine used the face to see how healthy an organ was. Cathy had a line in the center of the eyebrow, which Janet said related to the liver. Cathy also had frown lines around the mouth. This related to the large intestine and the ovaries.
Janet placed the needled into Cathy’s forehead, using the up and out method to raise the skin. Cathy stated that she didn’t even feel it when Janet stuck the needle in. (It looked painful to me!) Janet stated that the needles used for this method were fine and thin, therefore did not cause any pain. As she stuck each needle into Cathy’s face, Janet plucked the tip to stimulate more blood flow to the area. (Now that really looked painful!)
Dr Oz: The Acupuncture Facelift
-30 minute procedure
-need at least 10 treatments to get the full effect. Younger people only need 1 treatment every 6 months. Older people should have the treatment at least once a month. (Yet another reason to hate getting older!)
- should be done 2-3 per week
-$125 and up per session.
-you should see a healthy glow after one treatment
Dr Oz showed audience members how Cathy was going to look in an hour after the treatment. Her skin did have a healthy glow. Dr Oz also showed what Cathy would look like after a month and honestly, THAT was where you saw the real improvement. (Again, that was a doctored photo of what she SHOULD look like. Did you believe it?)
