Dr Oz: Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy
1 out of every 3 Americans are suffering from chronic pain. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy is a revolutionary way to cure common ailments, such as back, neck, and even arthritis pain. Dr Oz introduced Dr. James Dillard, MD, who prescribed this treatment for pain to his patients.
According to Dr. Dillard, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy heals pain without the use of pills or invasive surgery. This type of magnetic therapy is something that many doctors have not told you about yet and it’s changing the practice of medicine. As of right now, this therapy has been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for use in severe depression as well as for post operative pain and swelling.
Doctor Oz asked Dr. Dillard if he had to convince his pain patients to use this ground-breaking method. Dr Dillard responded that no convincing was necessary. By the time his patients came to see him about their pain, they have already tried pills or injections that have not worked. His patients generally come to him in search of an alternative remedy.
Dr Oz: How Electromagnetic Field Therapy Works
Inside the mat, electricity passes through and into your body where heating pads cannot reach. The magnetic field activates ions and brings in nutrients and influences things like blood supply, causing blood vessels to open and allowing for deeper healing. The mat creates a pulse electromagnetic field and improves circulation throughout the entire body. According to Dr. Dillard, you don’t just feel better, you are better.
Dr Oz: Electromagnetic Field Therapy Mat
Dr Oz used an audience member to demonstrate how the mat worked. She’s had chronic back pain for several years and found it difficult to walk up and down the steps or even walk a few blocks. She had been using the mat for 3 days for 3 hours per day and said it helped.
Risks: Dr Oz stated that with any product featured on The Doctor Oz Show, he wanted to inform his fans of the possible risks. Dr Dillard stated that while it had not been proven, there is a concern that extended usage of the mat may cause cancer, however, this has not been proven. Dr. Dillard said with acute back pain, you may see signs of improvement within 2-3 weeks.
Dr Oz gave the story of a police officer, who stated that the mat had changed his life. Before, he had trouble getting in and out of his squad car and even had issues when dealing with perpetrators. His extreme back pain started 10 years ago and he could barely function. There were times he had to call out from work and lay on the floor with ice on his back. He had tried chiropractors, but that had not helped either. He searched online for a new method and found out about the mat. The day he tried it, he woke up with less pain and 6-8 weeks later, the pain was gone. Today, he is completely pain free. He told Dr Oz that he had not discussed magnetic therapy with his doctor because he was embarrassed. “This brings up a good point,” Dr Oz commented. Dr Oz says that you should not be embarrassed to discuss this with your doctor and, in fact, you should talk to your doctor about it. This will bring more attention to a method that has helped you and hopefully, your doctor will look into it and decide if his other patients may benefit from this method as well.
The cost for the mat is approximately $2000 but, despite the high cost, it may be worth it if it works for you. Dr Oz also noted that you could rent the mat for $35/week. Do your research.
Dr. Dillard was hoping to change the mat’s availability to patients because of shows like Dr Oz. He stated that 160 million Americans still suffered from chronic pain and he would love to see that number lowered. As a side note, Dr Oz stated that studies have shown that people who use electromagnetic therapy sleep better too.
