Dr. Oz: Home Remedy for Cold or Flu- Chicken Soup

By on February 24, 2010

As part of Dr. Oz’s home remedy segment, Deborah presented her home remedy for cold and flu- Chicken Matzo Ball soup or “Jewish Penicillin.”  Deborah puts turnips, onions, dill, Turkish Bay Leaves, carrots, onions and chicken into her version of Chicken Matzo Ball soup.

So does this home remedy work?  YES!!!  It has been scientifically proven that chemicals in chicken soup slow down the way that some cells respond, so it reduces inflammation.  Plus, the steam from the soup can clear stuffy airways. More fabulous home remedies at Pantry Spa.
