Dr Oz: TMI in the Bathroom!
You thought you heard it all, but on today’s Dr Oz TMI Show, he gives you the scoop from the bathroom. (Wait, that didn’t sound too good!) Find out if the color of your poop is healthy and whether you should tweeze or cut those nose hairs.

Dr Oz did a segment on TMI in the bathroom where he discussed the causes of green poop, white poop and red poop. Nothing is ever off limits on the Dr Oz Show!
The Dr Oz Show fittingly went to Flushing, NY, home of the US Open and the World’s Fair, to answer TMI questions regarding smelly poop and getting large pores after shaving. The best TMI question came from a woman who asked about the “long gel-like strings that hang down after pooping.” (Did your stomach just turn too?)
Dr Oz: Green Poop Causes
Vanessa, an audience member, wanted to know why her poop was green. Dr Oz says there are acceptable colors of poop that vary from brown to green. When poop goes through your system in a normal speed, it’s brown. If it’s green, it could be because it’s going through so quickly that you don’t have time to digest the bile. If it goes through slow and it’s green, it may be due to the consumption of veggies or green juice. In any case, these colors are good.
Dr Oz: White Poop Causes
You should worry if your poop is white. This mean no bile is getting into the poop and this is not good. White poop could be due to gallstones or infection of the liver or pancreas. It may also be due to pancreatic cancer.
Dr Oz: Red Poop Causes
Red poop could indicate bleeding in your rectum. If you have reddish poop, make an appointment with your doctor.
Tar black poop could indicate bleeding in your intestinal tract. Tar black poop may be the result of medications, such as Pepto Bismal.
Dr Oz: Spraying Pee
Doreen, an audience member, said when she pees, she sprays all over. Sometimes it comes out straight, but when she squats in a public bathroom, it sprays.
Dr Oz says as you get older, bits of tissue around urethra begin to compress and you end up spraying. When you squat, it becomes worse. You may also have something stuck on the inside. This can result in stones.
Safe Way to Trim Nose Hairs
Vanessa, an audience member, clips nose hairs with little scissors. She wanted to know if this was okay. Dr Oz says having nose hair is good, but if you want to pluck, be careful. Do not use sharp and straight scissors. They can make little cuts in the back of your nose. Buy curved scissors instead. Don’t pluck with tweezers either. Instead, use a device with a sharp blade that can cut the inside but it’s shielded so you don’t cut your skin.

On your poop show you had a girl who asked what the long gel like strings are after pooping. I also have the long gel like strings, but my doctor didn’t know what they were. I waited with baited breath for the answer to that question, but Dr. Oz never answered it. Please write me back with the answer.
Thanks,
Mary
