Dr Oz: Parathyroid & Calcium
Dr Oz said that the Parathyroid Gland is fundamental for regulating calcium in your body. If your Parathyroid does not work, your bones cannot get strong – regardless of how much calcium you get in your diet or calcium supplements.
Dr Oz: Parathyroid Symptoms
Dr Oz said that the following list of symptoms are often seen when you have Parathyroid Problems:

Dr Oz: What Is A Parathyroid Gland?
Dr Oz said that your Parathyroid Glands are tiny, around the size of lentils, which is why they often have difficulty finding them during a surgery. Your thyroid is a gland, so it normally feels spongy. The word Parathyroid means around the thyroid gland. If you look in your throat, you will see your Thyroid Gland, and around the back of the Thryoid Gland are several Parathyroid Glands that send out hormones to regulate calcium in your body. As your Parathyroid sends out more hormones, it eats up more calcium and causes your bones to get thin.
Dr Oz: Parathyroid Gland Problems & Solutions
Dr Oz said that if your Parathyroid Gland is getting rid of calcium faster than your body can replenish calcium, then basically your bones weaken and you can get fractured bones and Osteoporosis. Your doctor can check the calcium levels in your blood, and if the levels are too high then it could mean that your Parathyroid is stripping your bones of calcium too rapidly. Dr Oz said that by taking 1000 IU Vitamin D you can help keep your bones strong and your Parathyroid Gland quiet.
