Dr Oz Embarrassing Health Problems

Doctor Oz did a segment on Embarrassing Health Problems that all of us have and the solutions to these problems.  Dr Oz spoke about hard-boiled eggs for thinning hair, a Baking Soda Foot Bath for stinky feet and Vitamin E for Cold Sores.

Dr Oz: Eggs Prevent Thinning Hair

Dr Oz’s first guest said that her Embarrassing Health Problem is that her hair is starting to fall out and to thin.  He said that hard boiled eggs are great for preventing Dr Oz Baking Soda Foot Soakthinning hair because eggs have Biotin which help your hair to grow faster, stronger and thicker.  Doctor Oz also pointed out that eggs do not increase your cholesterol, except for in very rare instances.  If you have thinning hair, you should also read this recap of another Dr Oz Show where he spoke about using Black Currant Oil and Primrose Oil to thicken your hair: Dr Oz Thinning Hair

Dr Oz: Baking Soda Foot Bath

Doctor Oz’s second guest said that her Embarrassing Health Problem is that she is a professional dancer on is on her feet all day, so by the end of the day her feet tend to stink.  Dr Oz said that you can cure foot odor by giving yourself a Baking Soda Foot Bath.  Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 quart of warm water, and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes twice a week.  The baking soda changes the pH of your skin so that bacteria cannot grow.  Nylon socks should be avoided because they tend to make your feet sweat more.  Dr Oz mentioned in a previous show that you can soak your feet in tea to get rid of smelly feet as well.  Click here for more details on the Tea Foot Soak: Dr Oz Tea Foot Bath

Dr Oz: Vitamin E For Cold Sores

Dr Oz’s last guest said that her Embarrassing Health Problem is that ever since she was 5 years old she has been getting Cold Sores.  Doctor Oz said that these are often caused by stress.  A great Cold Sore Remedy is Vitamin E, which can be applied topically by cracking open a Vitamin E capsule and applying it directly on the Cold Sore.  Vitamin E is great for healing skin.  Vitamin C on the other hand can irritate skin and aggravate the problem, so you probably do not want to start eating tons of oranges if you have a Cold Sore.  Dr Oz also mentioned in another show that yogurt and a tea bag are great for curing Cold Sores.  Click here to read about these other Cold Sore Treatments: Dr Oz Cold Sore Remedies

Comments to Dr Oz: Vitamin E For Cold Sores, Baking Soda Foot Soak & Eggs for Thin Hair

  1. Barbie Herrera says:

Vitamin E may help soothe and heal a little but I am shocked at you Dr. Oz, that you did not say or mention L Lysine. I lysine an amino acid not only helps them heal and go away but taken regularly helps them stay away. Yeehaw, no more cold sores in the mouth or on the outside.
